In 1978, a generous grant from the Donner Foundation enabled Canada to join the AFS International network and a national office was then established in Montreal. Since its beginning, AFS Interculture Canada has developed a wide choice of programs to meet the expectations of participants and families.

AFS is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.
AFS Interculture Canada is a registered charitable organization (100071927RR0001) and is part of a network of more than 50 partner countries across the world providing intercultural learning opportunities.
