AFS relies on a network of people and organizations that bring help and support, by finding new host families for participants, promote the AFS programs abroad and in Canada, finance youths during fund raising activities, among others.
As a way to thank them, we wish to list these helpers in this section of the AFS Interculture Canada Website. This list is non exhaustive: if your institution is not listed but should be, please email us
Founded in 1937, the Volunteer Bureau of Montreal was Canada’s first volunteer bureau. As an accredited community organisation subsidised by Centraide of Greater Montreal, he has two missions: to help over 700 Montreal community organisations recruit volunteers and to assist thousands of Montreal residents annually in finding volunteer opportunities.
The Volunteer Bureau of Montreal helps AFS Interculture Canada in its constant search for volunteers. It also offers effective training programs in the fields of volunteering and promotion.
AFS Interculture Canada benefits from the Google Grants program.
Youth Canada is an online resource for motivated Canadian secondary school students. It features information on enrichment opportunities, peer-written articles on topics that students care about, and forums for youth to network and exchange ideas.
