10/8/2008 - AFS Interculture joins a coalition for Canadian Youth
AFS Interculture Canada has joined the Youth Count coalition, to encourage candidates for the federal election to raise awareness on youth issues.
Here is the message from the coalition:
Ask the candidates in your riding to make a commitment to youth
As you know, a federal election is just around the corner. From now until October 14th we have a real chance to make the candidates pay attention to issues that are important to youth!
We believe that our next government needs to show strong leadership on youth issues. Therefore, we’re calling on youth to SPEAK UP and call upon every candidate to outline a detailed plan that addresses youth and that clearly communicate their party’s views on youth service programs.
Please visit www.youthcount.ca, a non partisan website dedicated to making youth issues matter this election. This site will allow you to, with the click of a mouse, quickly and easily send letters to the all the candidates in your riding.
Make YOUTH COUNT and send your concerns to your candidates today!
