Volunteering

Each year hundreds of volunteers across Canada donate their time, talents and energy to make AFS programs happen worldwide.

They are young and old, men and women, studying and teaching, working and retired, they get involved for punctual assignments, or for long-term involvement..

When you become an AFS volunteer you will:

  • Be connected to a global network of volunteers, families and communities,
  • Develop leadership, intercultural and communication skills,
  • Help enrich your local community by discovering new cultures, and sharing yours, and
  • Make contacts and create bonds with youth from your community and abroad.
